Blyss Young
Blyss Young, LM CPM, is a home birth midwife, childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator and natural birth and family consultant. Through her guidance and love centered approach she supports families to birth in the ways that they feel most empowered. She is a firm believer in intuition, the sacredness and ritual of birth and the power of autonomy in birth. She has studied with both Dr. Stu Fischbein (LA's only home birth obstetrician) and many skilled midwives. She has been fortunate to learn the art of midwifery in addition to the unique skills of delivering Breech, Twins and VBACs. At the heart of all of her work is a deeply rooted belief in the brilliant design of the human body and the symbiotic relationship between baby and parent. She continues to strive to support the sacredness of birth as a rite of passage, in the hopes to resurrect lost traditions that can bring connection to our high tech low touch lives.

Haize Hawke
Haize is an advanced senior midwife student, assistant midwife, master doula, and spiritual mentor. She supports families in their journey to and through birth with a holistic, spiritual, and emotionally centered approach. She sees and supports the Divine in everyone and uses her many creative gifts to fortify those beliefs in others. Haize believes that the Birth Ceremony is a sacred rite of passage and an expansive vortex where intuition lives. In her desire to study with traditional midwives around the world, Haize has traveled to many countries such as Mexico, India, Cuba and Africa which she sat at the feet of Queen Mother and Grand Midwife UmmSalaamah Sondra Abdullah-Zaimah and learned the way of her ancestors understanding the telepathic connection between all who are within the space. It was in Africa that Haize began to understand her work as a Death Doula and realized that the first breath is as sacred as the last breath commencing her journey in that space walking with life and death together.
Haize believes that pregnancy is a spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical ceremony. Haize is the Vice President of Development for the organization she co-founded (The Victoria Project) with Janelle Green and Deja Rabb so that more families can have access to holistic midwifery care and more midwives can support not only themselves but their communities. She is proud to be collaborating with The Bridge midwives to “ bridge” the gap of knowledge past down younger midwives.

Lindsey Meehleis
For the past 20 years, Lindsey Meehleis has worked in healthcare but found herself often in the shadows. In the shadows of the night helping women discover their own strength through psychedelic, transcendent experiences while they birth their babies in power at home. As well in the shadows of death as a Midwife who helps people cross the rainbow bridge. Her hands have touched the lives of many as they take their first and last breath. She has woven the stories of thousands of births throughout these 20 years. Trained traditionally and licensed through the Medical Board, she quickly learned that what is needed in the magic and mystery of birth and death can't be found in a book. She serves families from womb to tomb, like many medicine women have done throughout time, with a deep remembering that many of these witches were burned at the stake for their threat to the standard industrialized medical complex. She has witnessed a drastic shift in healthcare since 2020 and looks forward to co-creating a new future of what true medicine always was. She gets down to the nitty-gritty of LIFE and everything it brings and illustrates the power that we have within, showing that birth, life and death are pivotal rites of passage that deserve to be held in sacred deep reverence.

Her early studies began sitting in circle with traditional midwives deepening her belief wholeheartedly that women are capable and innately know how to give birth.. She has been serving families in her own practice since 2004, in both Oregon and the Central Coast of California. Tanya’s passion is to help women find their innate wisdom and power. She believes in providing conscious informed choice, in a safe and respectful manner to the family. Midwifery is in the very fabric of her being. Giving women a voice she holds the space for them to find their own path in a way that honors who they are on their birthing journey. Through her lifetime of service to her communities Tanya holds the sanctity of birth within her very essence. For her, each birth is an act of sacred and sovereign grace.
